Praise & Prayer – March 20

Praise

• For Beth’s U.S. Fundraising Trip—7 cities, 7 group talks, various individual meetings, and lots of connecting with former ECA students, staff, and families and new friends. Praise the Lord for the donations that have already come in! We are thankful for the seeds that were planted, and pray that many will choose to donate to the ECA construction project after hearing about the need.
• For successful pouring of the concrete base of the 3rd floor! Additionally, we have just finished pouring the concrete in the columns of the 3rd floor. Now the metal scaffolding that will support the roof of the entire building is being placed and the concrete base for the roof will be finished next Wed, March 28, if everything goes as scheduled. We have signed a contract with a new company to design the structure of the multi-purpose sports court, following earthquake-resistant regulations, and we are assessing quotes for the architectural design to accompany the structural design. Continue to pray for funds since the construction pace is moving faster than expected, which would incur extra costs if we need to stop construction.
• For the opportunity ECA students had to interact with representatives from several U.S. universities at the Worldwide College Tour that ECA hosted last Thursday.

Prayer

1. For Heidi Osborn, Rachel Osborn’s (5^th grade teacher) mother, and her family, as she has suffered from a major depressive disorder and something triggered depression in February. She is back home again and continues in outpatient care. Her family is trusting God for healing in His time and His way. Rachel has gone to be with her mom until Easter.
2. For the Mission Trips next week, March 22-28. Everything is ready for the 65 students, 24 staff members, and one alumna who are going to six different places to serve the Lord and give support to needy communities. We are trusting God for logistics to go smoothly, for each team to be a blessing, and for everyone to return safely.
3. For the continued safety of our construction workers and for quality work each step of the way.
4. For teachers needed for 2018-19: PK, HS math, HS science, and art. We have one teacher who is in process of filling out the ECA application for PK, so pray that she will finish up her part so we can begin our part of checking references and helping her move through the rest of the process. Pray also for two possible science teachers we are in contact with, that God will give them wisdom as they move forward.
