Praise
- For the completion of the 3rd quarter and all that God has taught the ECA community so far this year. We are thankful that we have learned and sensed God’s guidance as we have dealt with multiple challenges this year related to COVID absences, staff changes, dealing with consequences of the pandemic on the academic, social, and spiritual spheres, and many other issues that are part of the life of a school.
- For the almost 70 high school parents who attended the parent meeting on March 17. We pray that the Lord would use every difficult situation we are facing for our own good and growth (Romans 8:28), and that our staff, students, and parents would continue becoming the people that the Lord wants us to be.
- For 4 new missionary teachers who have confirmed for 2022-23!
Prayer
- For teachers and school administrators from all over Colombia who will be gathering March 25-26 for the annual OBED Christian school convention. Pray that the ECA staff who will be participating will be inspired and challenged.
- For Samantha Rios, ECA 3rd grade teacher, who returned last week to the USA for health reasons. Pray for wisdom for the professionals who will be supporting her, for wise decisions in her care, and for a quick return to health. Pray too for her class as they transition to a new teacher.
- For the upcoming mission trips. We know the Lord is using high school students and this very special time to spread the gospel and open the eyes of those who have chosen not to see the mighty love of God. Pray too that this time of service will be an opportunity for growth for ECA students. For more information about the mission trips, click here. - For God to move donors to participate in the funding needed to finish the 3rd floor classrooms.
- For contacts with different teacher possibilities, answering questions, checking references, and seeking God’s direction for each one. PRAY especially for the areas where no candidates are in process, that God will give wisdom and creativity to find teachers with the ECA profile. Pray for wisdom in the interview process to discern who is a good fit for ECA. Pray that the Lord will bring over 15 teachers to the ECA team! Current needs include:
- 3 teachers in PK-1st
- 5 teachers in 2nd-4th
- MS science
- English, math, social studies, and Bible in MS and HS
- Learning Center/special education
- ELL specialist
- MS counselor
- Art
- Drama
- Director or Assistant Director
